Before the International Court of Justice, Paris reminds Israel its obligations of “occupying power”

Since the desk that faces the twelve judges of the International Court of Justice (CIJ), all, or almost, alerting the emergency. Diplomats and lawyers of 40 states and three multilateral organizations have been pleading since Monday, April 28 to the highest judicial body of the United Nations (UN), in The Hague.

The judges must say what are the legal obligations of Israel, occupying power and member of the United Nations, vis-à-vis humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in the occupied territory, while since March 2, Israel has blocked the entry of all aid in the Gaza Strip, under the Israeli bombs since the attack of Hamas on October 7, 2023.
