The Swedish group Ghost achieves historical performance in the world rankings with its new album Skeletáwho won sales, a few days before a highly anticipated concert in Paris.
Ghost dominates the charts with Skeletá
The 25 Avril via Loma Vista Recordings were built, SkeletáGhost’s sixth studio album, made a resounding beginnings. According to a press release, the opus rose directly to first place in Billboard 200becoming the first Hard Rock album to reach this position since Power Up AC/DC in 2020. It is also the very first number 1 for Loma Vista Recordings.
In the United States, the album has totaled 86,000 equivalent units in a week, including 77,000 sales of pure album, an impressive figure at the time of streaming. Among these, 44,000 are vinyls, establishing a weekly sales record for a hard rock album since the start of the Soundscan era in 1991. Ghost ranks just behind Blink-182 and Boygenius for the best week of vinyl sales of a rock album on this period.
Confirmed worldwide success
Outside the United States, Skeletá has also conquered rankings in many countries. The album is number 1 in Sweden, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Finland and Canada, and number 2 in the United Kingdom. In France, he rose to fourth place in the top albums, while being number 1 of physical sales and the rock/metal ranking.

In the wake of these successes, Ghost continues his world tour, the SkeleTour. After triumphant concerts in Lyon and Toulouse, Papa V Perpetua and the Nameless Ghouls are preparing to captivate Paris on May 13 at Accor Arena. The event, presented as a total scenic experience, is reinforced by the prohibition of phones, promoting a complete immersion.
