Bottal
- Alice and Ulysses divert a radio frequency to create their militant chain. A fictional synopsis that captivates.
- Mushrooms and nature are at the heart of their show and evoke many hidden references.
- The show speaks of transidentity and mixes militant register and humorous register.
On the one hand, Axel, embodied by Alice Oeschlin. On the other, Chloé, carried by Ulysse Berdat. The two are friends. Their complicity transpires on stage. Their funny and provocative stories, in a universe mixing fiction, reality and dreamlike, are to be heard Saint-Gervais house from Geneva from May 6 to 11.
For more than an hour, Axel and Chloé tell How they managed to hack FM waves in order to launch their own militant chain, mycosis frequency. An all fictional radio channel, to make their voices heard and “reclaim the stories that concern them”.
Mushroom ode
Mycosis frequency, it is first of all a nod to the fungi. These complex natural elements are at the center of the work presented, because they would energize by their only existence the idea of radical binarity.
But also, connected by mycelium, the mushrooms form a hidden and underground network. Here, the wink is again there. This time, more subtle, he evokes in a fairly cryptic way the solidarity of non -binary people, trans and queer between them.

Activist and humor
During the exchanges between Axel and Chloé is woven an openly militant spectacle which speaks (among others) of transidentity with humor and daring. A show that is also distinguished by the ability of the two actors to put words on their experiences – which the spectator cannot know if they are real or fictional.
Alice talks about the exclusion of women trans competitions from female chess. It is the feeling of injustice that is above all shouted loud and clear. On stage, she forcefully poses a questioning, which appears as the background of the show: why are we talking about trans people without ever taking the time to hear them?
Moral point
This questioning anchored in tune with the times undoubtedly has some detractors. The fact remains that he never traps the spectator in a performance with moralizing accents, far from it.
It must be said that between the jokes, the choreographies a little ridiculous and the delirious music, the performances of the two actors of the company Pluto make the atmosphere never gloomy. The room makes you think, of course, but it transports. A successful balancing exercise, although it sometimes risks losing the spectator as the different registers are linked.
A play by Alice Oechslin and Ulysse Berdat, two artists trained at the Haute École de Design (HEAD) in Geneva and who claim to be “militant. · X · s, trans and gouinxes ”. A sparkling duo, to discover, and who will undoubtedly be talking about him.
