The president of the Inter-municipal School of Schools of Tournonnais Jean-Pierre Arondel is satisfied with the progress of the work of the new school. A project that saw a beautiful structure emerging from the ground on the old rugby training ground, at the foot of the Bastide Tournonnaise. The culmination of a project to which the municipalities of Caziderquoque, Anthé, Tournon, Courbiac, Thézac and Masquières joined the municipalities.

“Tournon develops, and will develop, we see it with the installation of young traders, the expansion of the Ulune campsite and the vitality of the town. This project of new school was considered ambitious, but inter-municipal pooling, initiated in 1992, allowed us to realize it” affirms Jean-Pïerre Arondel. The two elementary and primary schools will thus be grouped into a single site, also allowing the pooling of staff and means. With easier access, the building covered with photovoltaic panels will provide comfort for all with light and bulky rooms. Four equipped classrooms, plus one, a refectory, a kitchen to receive meals prepared by the Villeneuvois health center, an extracurricular daycare that will serve as a awakening room, a dormitory and various furnished spaces offering a functional set. The surroundings will also make it easier to accommodate the buses that will drop the children, the latter will join the school with a gentle slope drawn in vegetated areas. Proximity to the sports hall and tennis courts is also a very appreciable advantage. On the financing side, the SIE benefited from 67 % of subsidies out of a total amount of € 1,600,000 excl. Tax.
Currently, the work is well advanced and continues for an opening scheduled for next September.
