The deputy for the Kosovo Democratic Party (PDK), Ferat Shala, expressed his concerns about the increase in prices for the third time for the citizens of Kosovo during a mandate of the Kurti government.

Shala, at a press , stressed that this increase is selective and discriminatory, because according to him, it directly affects Albanian consumers.

“We are faced with a harmful reality: instead of public control, we profits to private companies Keds, Kesco, Noa and Gen, while the ordinary citizen pays ever more. Instead of protecting the public interest, the government has become a lobbyist and a supporter of corruption. , the energy markets in the territory of the Republic are ethnic. GEN and NOA companies monopolize more than 90 % of energy imports. Today, we import electricity at a price 100 % more expensive than on international scholarships. Today, the companies that were to enter the free have received 225 % more expensive offers than the current price on the stock market. Many companies close or leave Kosovo, such as feronikel. Kek’s production is experiencing a drastic drop, and all of this company’s policy is in favor of energy-importing private companies, “he said.

According to Shala, this systematic failure system includes Kostt and Ero, “which, with unprecedented zeal, guaranteed continuous price increases and have become the spokesperson and the protective barricade of the outgoing government, silently covering major corruption cases, such as the case concerning Ero’s surveillance report on Ibër-Lepenc. »»

“A degraded energy sector. Fragile stability. A lack of transparency and competition. The flouted public interest. And an increasingly difficult climate for the economy and life of our citizens. The only beneficiaries are commercial companies and clientelist groups, to which this government pays particular attention through controlled appointments in key institutions. Today more than ever, we have to talk about energy as a public right and need. Without accessible and durable energy, there can be neither prosperity nor development, ”added the deputy for the PDK.
Shala on the justice system to invest in depth in each energy sector segment.

“As soon as the Parliament is formed, we will use all parliamentary mechanisms to examine each action and inaction in the management of the energy sector,” he concluded.
