Leapmotor, a Chinese brand distributed in France and supported by Stellantis, has just launched a revised version of its C10. On the program: a new electric motor, a new battery and additional technologies.
Launched in France a few months ago with an aggressive basic price (€ 36,400), the electric C10 will have improvements in China. And we therefore hope that these developments will be quickly offered to us.
In its country of origin, the new Leapmotor C10 is now equipped with an 800 -volt electrical architecture, against 400 volts before. He therefore wins at recharge speed. The SUV also benefits from a new LFP (Lithium-Fer-Phosphate) battery of 74.9 kWh, against 69.9 kWh for the previous version. Its autonomy progresses and now reaches 605 km according to the Chinese standard CLTC.
An electric SUV (much) more efficient
On the power side, the machine also progresses. The 2026 version of the C10 is equipped with a 220 kW engine (295 hp), against 170 kW (228 hp) before. Leapmotor claims that its updated C10 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, an improvement of 1.4 seconds compared to the outgoing 170 kW model.
Among the other modifications, there is the arrival of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295p chip. The car also includes a Lidar sensor and retractable door handles. Finally, customers will be able to choose a new violet body shade, a very fashionable color in China. The model with a range of autonomy remains unchanged, with its 158 kW electric motor and its 28.4 kWh battery.
