The former pillar of Leigh, Tom Amone, who had left for the NRL, returns to the English championship. He will finish the 2025 season in Castleford, before joining Hull Kr in 2026.
The Bulldogs of Canterbury released, with immediate effect, their player Tom Amone, from his current contract, to return to the Super League. Ridden in Australia, when he had become one of the best super League pillars in Leigh’s jersey, the Bulldogs left Amone in reserve at the start of the season. While there were rumors of an arrival in Warrington, or in Hull Kr, the winner of the Battle will therefore be the Robins, which Mark will join for 3 years from the 2026 season. And before that, Tom Amone will still return to England, being loaned to Castleford until the end of the current season. A compulsory loan, because KR no longer has a place in his Salary Cap in 2025, and could therefore not integrate Tom Amone with immediately.
With this acquisition, Hull KR still demonstrates its attractiveness to important signatures, in order to win titles this year, and even in the years that follow.
