A small (catastrophic) season and then leaves. Mike Budenholzer did not last long on the bench of the Phoenix Suns. The Arizona franchise has returned its coach, the third in three years, in the wake of the last match. It must be said that the assessment is terrible: an eleventh place to the west despite the presence of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant et Bradley Beal in the workforce. A trio that has never really worked and that will probably be dismantled during the summer.
Associating them was already an error and Budenholzer found himself having to manage three stars not necessarily complementary. It was also in this concern to operate this “big 3” that he came to see Beal with a very special request before the start of the season. According to Chris Haynes, the coach has tried to convince the player to adopt a new role and take example on … Jrue Holiday.
So, in the idea, we understand. The Suns would have really needed a rear capable of playing without the ball and especially to defend hard while stretching the lines. But how can I compare Bradley Beal and Jrue Holiday? How even dare to think it can work? The two profiles are so different. Haynes specifies that Mike Budenholzer’s demand was not well received by the former Washington Wizards, who is therefore still seen as a major NBA scorter at all. He too is undoubtedly fans the false.
Beal has also been demolished on the bench during the season. His future in Suns remains undecided, even if he has an intransferabial clause.
“0% luck” that Bradley Beal remains at the Suns: Phoenix ready to make a crazy and desperate move?
