Israel led Tuesday for the second consecutive day of strikes in Yemen, targeting Sanaa and its airport controlled by the Houthis. The Al-Massirah rebels chain reported Israeli strikes at Yemen’s capital international airport. Three electric stations in the capital and its surroundings, as well as a cement center in Amrane (North), were also targeted.
Three people were killed and 38 were injured on Tuesday, insurgents were reported.
The rebels chain accused, as the day before, the United States of having participated in the strikes, but Washington had denied any involvement on Monday.
On Monday, Israeli strikes on regions in the hands of Houthis in the west of the country left four people, according to the Houthi Health Ministry.
-These reprisal measures occur two days after a Houtis missile shot at the main Israeli international airport.
The Israeli Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, tried Iran on Tuesday “directly responsible” for the attacks by the Houthi rebels against Israel and warned that Tehran would suffer “all the consequences”.
“This is (…) a warning message sent to the head of the Iranian octopus: you are directly responsible for any attack by the Houthie tentacle of the octopus against the state of Israel – and you will assume all the consequences,” said Mr. Katz in a video recording with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
