Ms. Hoang Thi Mai, from the village of Dai Thang, one of the seven members of the Mulberry and Livestock Cooperative of Silk Worms, “said:” The lands of Dai Phac are particularly conducive to the mulberry culture. Pursuant to the resolution of the Popular Council of the Van Yen District and the related directive documents, the municipality of DAI Phac has developed a specific plan to implement the project of cultivation of the mulberry and breeding from silkworms in 2025. The plan is focused on the mobilization of the participation of the whole political system, the promotion of propaganda work to raise awareness of the restructuring of the agricultural sector and The expansion of mulberry crop areas with new high -yield varieties.
At the same time, the municipality also endeavors to guide and educate populations so that they can access scientific advances and take advantage of support policies to improve the economic efficiency of the mulberry culture and the breeding of silk worm.
On the basis of the district project, the municipality of DAI Phac included the content of the development of seric farming in the resolution of the party committee, the resolution of the Popular Council of the Municipality and the socio-economic development plan for the period 2021-2026.
Comrade Le Quang Dao, secretary of the party committee of the commune of Dai Phac, said: “Our objective is to extend the mulberry culture over 30 hectares in five villages in the region by 2025. We encourage the population to choose new varieties of mulberry and to apply the appropriate techniques, from planting to maintenance, to achieve high productivity. The municipality also endeavors to apply scientific and technical advances to increase farmers’ income, create local jobs and encourage companies to invest in the in -depth transformation of mulberry products and silkworm cocoons. »»
To achieve this objective, the commune of DAI Phac intensified propaganda and mobilized the population to plant new varieties of high -performance mulberry trees on ineffective land and convert appropriate culture structures; Coordinate with professional agencies to organize training courses on mulberry cultivation techniques, breeding of silkworms, disease prevention techniques and concentrated silkworm farming techniques. People also receive instructions on how to use mulberry sheet cutting machines to increase productivity and stabilize cocoons production.
DAI PHAC aims to create a silkworm farming model, to apply modern technology, to strictly control the quality of farming eggs and silkworms and to limit risks in the production process. The municipality has notably implemented supportively and rapidly supporting support policies such as: support for new plantations, construction of magnaneries, purchase of equipment …
These policies are all implemented publicly and transparent, with a supervision and complete participation of all levels of government, mass organizations and the people itself. In the commune of Dai Phac, the silkworm breeding industry makes significant progress. The whole municipality currently has more than 30 hectares of mulberry cultivation, 40 household farming households, 2 cooperatives and 1 cooperative now activities in the field of mulberry culture and silkworm farming.
In order to achieve the objective of sustainable development of the profession of crop and seric farming of the mulberry, in 2025, Dai Phac will focus on the implementation of the chain model in accordance with resolution 69 of the Provincial People’s Council, and at the same time will extend from 10.2 hectares of mulberry. At the same time, the municipality plans to invest in the modernization of infrastructure by building 14 large magnaneries, 5 magnaneries, repairing 3 magnaneries and equipping 16 other games of nets.
With profits 3.5 to 4 times higher than those of rice and corn cultivation, low investment costs and a rapid return on investment period, this model has brought a stable source of income to many households. This is a solid basis so that people can stick to the profession with confidence, helping to assert that the culture of mulberry and breeding of silkworm are an effective direction in rural economic development, not only in the commune of Dai Phac but also in the entire district of Van Yen.
