We do not yet know the reason for the fierce conflict between the two women. It is believed, on the other hand, that it is this “dispute” which would be at the origin of the criminal fire of an apartment on the night of April 20 to 21 in Paris (16th). It is at least the conviction of the investigators who placed in police custody on Tuesday a couple suspected of being involved in this disaster.
According to our information, the suspect, 35 years old and known to the police for a flight affair, had already threatened the tenant of the studio ravaged by the flames with death. His 23 -year -old companion is unknown to the police. The two respondents apparently lived together in Triel-sur-Seine (Yvelines). They are both of Tunisian nationality, just like the victim.
The victim was absent at the time of the facts
That night, a studio, located on the ground floor of a building on rue Eugène-Manuel, begins to be devoured by the flames. About twenty firefighters, according to a local resident, master three -quarters of an hour the loss which is limited to the house.
If he did not spread in the building, the fire still destroyed the apartment. On site, through the gates and open shutters, you could see a bed, whose mattress had been removed, in the middle of a calcined room whose walls were covered with soot. No victim to deplore: the 30 -year -old tenant was absent at the time of the facts.
The crucial testimony of a neighbor
Very quickly the criminal track was explored thanks to a neighbor who saw, around 2 am, a man throw a fiery fabric through the window of the house, through the gates. Investigators from the 1st DPJ peel video surveillance images, coupling them to a study of telephony which allows them to obtain the number of a suspect. At the same time, the police learn that a conflict opposes the victim and another woman. With the identities of the latter and her companion, they finally carry out the arrests this Tuesday morning. We do not know the judicial decisions taken at the end of the two police custody.
Already last year, May 7, 2024, around twenty vehicles, twelve cars and six two-wheelers, had been burnt down there. It is always unknown if this fire has a connection with the one that occurred this Easter Monday. The case of burned cars, explained to us at the time the mayor (LR) of the 16th arrondissement Jérémy Redler, was linked to a “neighborhood conflict” which “targeted a particular person”.
