Launch of the National Day of Meteorological and Climatic Services in Rabat

The event records the participation of several eminent personalities of the meteorological field, notably Mr. Mohammed Dkhissi, Director of National Meteorology, Mr. Abdalah Mokssit, secretary of the Intergovernmental Experts on Climate Experts (IPCC), as well as Celeste Saulo, Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization (intervening Visioconference). Also participate Ms. Virginie Schwartz, President and CEO of Météo-France, and the DRE Florence Rabier, director general of the European center for medium-term weather forecast (CEPMMT).

It also benefits from the participation of several directors general of weather services in countries, such as Mozambique, Ghana and Cameroon, thus stressing the importance of South-South cooperation in terms of climate and resilience in the face of weather risks.

The World Meteorological Organization Program (OMM) supports partnerships, initiatives and international cooperation mechanisms. In collaboration with National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (SMHN), it contributes to the implementation of the objectives of sustainable development by 2030. These services can also rely on WMO partnerships to strengthen their intersectoral cooperation via national climatological services and the global framework for climatological services.
