“We express our support forMoroccan autonomy initiativethat we consider serious, credible and realistic, and as the only basis for a just, sustainable and mutually acceptable political solution, ”underlines the final declaration having sanctioned the work of this forum, marked by the participation of more than 120 representatives 35 countries. Any solution to the question of Moroccan Sahara must register “within the framework of sovereignty andterritorial integrity of the kingdom of Morocco, ”noted the young parliamentarians from around the world.
Participants in this conclave, in the process, highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy to strengthen multidimensional links between peoples and promote a South-South economic cooperation In the service of “sustainable and inclusive” development. They thus called on to multiply regional integration initiatives, especially between Africa and Latin America, from a solidarity, sovereign and sustainable perspective at the service of the countries of the South. The final statement has also emphasized the need to rethink the multilateral system in order to guarantee just and lasting world peace, while reaffirming attachment to fundamental human rights, gender equality and freedom of expression, opinion and organization.
Furthermore, the forum reiterated the commitment of young socialist and social democratic parliamentarians to fight all forms of discrimination and oppression, to defend the values of democracy, solidarity and social justice, and to work for peace, security and stability in the world. In this wake, he also reaffirmed “the need to recognize the state of Palestine, with East Jerusalem for capital, as a prerequisite for a just, global and lasting peace” in the Middle East.
In a statement to the map at the end of the event, The Hassan Lachgar, Coordinator of the network of young socialist and social democratic parliamentarians, said that the work of this world conclave had enabled young parliamentarians to exchange ideas, proposals and experiences capable of improving political practice in their respective countries. The forum was also an opportunity to underline the imperative to preserve the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the States, added Mr. Lachgar.
Organized by the Moroccan socialist parliamentary group, in partnership with the youth Ittihadya and the Mena-Latina forum, this two-day forum aimed to debate central themes such as world peace, southern parliamentary diplomacy, humanitarian crises, climate and human rights. This major meeting also aimed to encourage young parliamentarians to consult around these questions, to analyze them and to propose innovative and effective solutions, by asserting their skills to use new technologies and social networks to mobilize and raise awareness of other actors of important causes, in particular those linked to social justice, environment and gender equality.

In this regard, he highlighted the Atlantic Royal Initiative to open up new perspectives to Sahelo-Saharan countries and to stimulate a sustainable regional economic dynamic, as well as the Nigeria-Maroc gas pipeline, noting that these innovative initiatives made the kingdom a major player in consolidation and promotion of South-South cooperation. The active presence of Morocco in Africa and its various actions and initiatives in favor of the continent countries also reflect the unwavering commitment of the Kingdom for sustainable cooperation, he said. Referring to the various reforms made in the kingdom under the enlightened leadership of SM the King, Mr. Pacheco Villar considered that Morocco had taken major stages on the path of consolidation of the rule of law, in particular thanks to the adoption of the 2011 Constitution and the promotion of the situation of women.
With regard to the third international forum of young socialist and social democratic parliamentarians, the president of the Andean parliament noted that it was a suitable space to share ideas, proposals and experiences in order to explore the possibilities of building a better future. “Young people are the present and the future and their voices must be heard. We cannot imagine a future without the contribution of young people, ”he insisted.
The Andean Parliament was instituted on October 25, 1979 as an organ representing the peoples of the five Andean countries, namely Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile. This Parliament aims to harmonize legislation, strengthen cooperation between parliaments of member states, support participatory democracy and consolidate the regional integration process.
