Rabat: The unions celebrate the Labor Day

The centers celebrated, Thursday in Rabat, the Labor Day through the organization of a series of meetings and walks.

These rallies have experienced the participation of union leaders and activists representing, in particular, the Labor Union (UMT), the General Union of of (UGTM), the Democratic Labor Confederation (CDT), the Democratic Labor Organization (ODT) and the National Labor Union in Morocco (UNTM).

On this occasion, the various union centers expressed their pride of the important advances carried out by Moroccan diplomacy concerning the question of the territorial integrity of the kingdom, in particular the successive international recognitions of the Moroccanity of the Sahara, thanks to the informed vision and the high orientations of King Mohammed VI, calling in this regard to continue the mobilization and vigilance on this file.

In addition, union centers have highlighted the current socio-economic context, especially in a complex regional and international environment, characterized by persistent economic crises, an escalation of social tensions and an aggravation of the effects of climate .

Emphasizing the need to deploy more efforts in order to strengthen social cohesion, power plants have to continue the efforts to combat poverty, social disparities and inflation, as well as to strengthen aid for the most vulnerable categories and to consecrate the foundations of the social state.

The meetings were also an opportunity to the pressing social demands and the commitment of the various unions to continue the struggle in favor of social justice and to contribute effectively to the economic development of the kingdom.

The union activists chanted various slogans and brandished banners in which they expressed their demands and expresses their commitment to defend the working and its , as well as to to improve the economic and social conditions of workers.

Similarly, union centers have called for the increase in wages and pensions, the preservation of the rights acquired in the pension plan, the integration of the unemployed in the labor and support for small and medium -sized companies creating jobs.

Participants also expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, with Al-Quds is as capital.
