Speaking at a organized by the University of Al Akhawayn in partnership with the morning group, under the theme “Employability and competitiveness in the AI ​​: challenges and opportunities for ”, Mr. Sekkouri insisted on the need to rethink the report in the of transformations induced by artificial intelligence (IA).

The Minister stressed that the labor is experiencing a deep and complex transformation, with almost 80% of the professions to evolve, believing that AI, far from constituting a threat to employment, could on the contrary become a powerful facilitator.

Mr. Sekkouri said that the debate should not oppose artificial and employment intelligence, but rather include this technology in a strategic vision taking into account the specificities and potential of Morocco, noting that if technology is progressing at a sustained pace, “we have a much wider room for maneuver in terms of skills, a field on which Morocco can intelligently position itself.”

He also argued in favor of an in -depth reform of the vocational training ecosystem, revealing the upcoming implementation of an AI -based observatory, to support employment researchers, in particular through digital coaches capable of assisting them in optimizing their CVs and understanding market dynamics.

Mr. Sekkouri also mentioned the creation of a service dedicated to employers, offering them clear visibility on the offer of available skills, as well as the progressive movement of the center of gravity between the academic diploma and professional certification. In this regard, he indicated that “one of the major projects today is to uninhibit the question of the diploma, by valuing certifications recognized by economic actors”.

The Minister insisted on the need to build this dynamic with the private sector and to design training in direct collaboration with practitioners.

Mr. Sekkouri launched an appeal to the emergence of national champions and innovative startups, capable of demonstrating that the creation of value in the AI ​​era can indeed take in Morocco.

This conference, in which the president of the University of Al Akhawayn, Amine Bensaid, and the vice-president of the General Confederation of Morocco Confederation (CGEM), Mehdi Tazi, was also marked by a panel bringing together Deborah Bartlette, Chief Employaility and Entrepreneurship Officer at Al Akhawayn, Leyton Consulting Morocco, Simohamed Zizi, co -founder and CEO of Jobzyn, and Amine Abouomar, Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Al Akhawayn University.

The exchanges focused on the skills of the future, the transformations of recruitment practices and the place of young people in the economic paradigm induced by AI.
