On the joint initiative of the Jadara Foundation and the Pan - Youth , the Ocher City will welcome the very African summit dedicated to Neet.

For the organizers, this initiative is part of a continental dynamic: “The Jadara Foundation and the Pan -African Youth Union (UPJ) announce the implementation of an ambitious strategic partnership to strengthen the empowerment of young Africans through the YES Africa project (Youth Empowerment Summit Africa)”. And to continue that this partnership is part of a shared desire to provide concrete answers to the major challenges encountered by more than 70 million young Africans Neet (neither in employment, nor in , nor in training).

The highlight of this collaboration, the two institutions will co-organize the first African Summit on young Neet, on June 19 and 20, 2025 in , with the ambition to make it a real high-level pan-African platform dedicated to dialogue, co-construction and the sharing of good practices between institutional actors and civil society organizations (CSO).

In Marrakech, this event will bring together an ecosystem made up of public decision -makers, donors, think tanks, experts, as well as more than 120 OSCs from around 40 African countries, representing the five regions of the continent. This aims to create a dynamic of strategic exchange around concrete projects carried out by the CSOs, which will have the opportunity to present their initiatives with high impact in of technical and financial partners.

The project benefits from the Bad’s strategic support through the Africa50 Fund, stressing the capital importance of a coordinated investment in the human capital of young Africans, for sustainable and inclusive economic development. In addition, the participation of Nations reflects the growing interest of the international community for a multilateral response to this complex problem.

The summit will accommodate around 500 from all over Africa, offering a unique for networking, reflection and formulation of high impact recommendations for public and institutional decision -makers. The Yes Africa initiative, whose edition constitutes the first, aims to establish itself as a biennial and itinerant meeting, helping to structure a continental ecosystem at the service of the empowerment of young people.

As a reminder, the Jadara Foundation (formerly the Foundation of the Student) works to offer young people from disadvantaged backgrounds the means of building their future by going beyond social, territorial, linked to disability or gender.

As for the UPJ, it is an official body for coordinating youth issues within the African Union. It federates the national youth councils and other equivalent national mechanisms, and plays a reference role for the definition of youth policies on a continental scale.
