The principle of this technique is based on the use of cryogenic needles, carefully inserted under scanner or ultrasound control. These needles, once in place, create “ice balls” around tumors. The resulting intense cold gradually and targeting cancer cells, while preserving surrounding healthy tissues. This precision makes it possible to treat tumors in difficult to access areas, while minimizing the risks and complications related to the procedure.
This process, less invasive than traditional surgery, offers many advantages for patients. In addition to its less painful character, cryoablation is a method that requires a considerably reduced recovery time, allowing patients to quickly resume their daily activities.
Unlike conventional surgical interventions, which often impose deep incisions and prolonged hospitalization, cryoablation is generally done on an outpatient and leaves only minimal, even non -existent scars. This treatment therefore represents a real hope for patients, by offering them a modern and less restrictive therapeutic option.
“Thanks to cryoablation, we today offer our patients a more precise, less invasive and better tolerated therapeutic alternative,” said Dr. Alae Mrani after the intervention.
To date, the coastline Clinic Ain Diab has successfully carried out four cryoablation interventions, proving not only the feasibility of this technique, but also its effectiveness in the treatment of targeted conditions. These successes mark an important step in adopting this innovative method, which uses extremely low temperatures to destroy abnormal tissues.
