As part of its activities, the Chamber organizes and collaborates with entities such as the regional investment center of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima in order to promote the attractions and the commercial opportunities that exist in the neighboring country. The official Spanish trade chamber in Morocco, Tangier-Nador, was present at the last edition of the Imex Madrid show, a edition since Morocco was the guest of honor. What does this represent for the bedroom and what are the objectives that have been set?

One of the fundamental pillars of the official Spanish trade chamber in Morocco Tangier-Nador is the promotion of bilateral economic relations between Spain and Morocco. In this area, the IMEX represents an ideal platform for making Morocco known from an economic and commercial point of view. This fair gives us the possibility of making known the real opportunities offered by Morocco in sectoral terms or in terms of marketing of , in addition to the advantages which it presents as a platform for the production and marketing of products.

As you say, by settling in Morocco, Spanish companies benefit from a double advantage: on the one hand, lower production costs and, on the other hand, an excellent marketing platform, thanks to the geostrategic position of Morocco, the gateway from to Africa. What can the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region offer to Spanish entrepreneurs in this double perspective?

, its geostrategic position, political security, legal stability. These are essential, important factors when it comes to deciding to internationalize a Spanish company. Then Morocco has ideal platforms. It has advantages in terms of implantation costs, competitive production costs and the possibility of using Morocco as a platform to products in more than 60 countries. We have free trade agreements and very advantageous bilateral agreements with sub-Saharan Africa. This means that it is an ideal platform to produce and market products.

The official Spanish trade chamber in Morocco is the “house” of Spanish entrepreneurs, as you like to say. What services do you offer to those who plan to there?

I invite you of course Spanish companies to contact Spanish institutions and to use the mechanisms of support for the internationalization of companies. We offer services dedicated to the pre-investment phase and others dedicated to the post-investment phase. In the pre-investment phase, we devote ourselves to the reception, advice and support for Spanish companies who wish to set up on the market, in particular by providing them with reliable and first-hand information. Then, in the same field, we promote Spanish investment in Morocco and bilateral relations, including the marketing of products. In this area, we offer two actions: the first is to organize business and sectoral meetings in Tangier.

We commercial niches in Morocco, we transmit them to Spanish companies and we bring together Spanish and Moroccan companies in Tangier in order to increase their efficiency and their competitiveness. The second action aimed at promoting bilateral relations is the “Doing Business” , implemented by our partners in the regional investment center in Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, who accompany a delegation resulting from an economic and commercial ecosystem made up of Moroccan institutions that accompany us during these trips. We travel several Spanish regions in order to promote the real opportunities offered by Morocco, the potential of the northern region of the country and investment incentives.

Human capital is essential for entrepreneurs who wish to develop their activity on Moroccan territory. Morocco has a very population. Are Moroccan workers trained to meet the needs of an increasingly specialized labor market?

Of course. Human capital is very precious for Morocco, which takes great care. Morocco has long been on the creation of innovative and competitive training centers, thanks to specialized training centers, for example in the automotive sector, such as IFMIA, the Automobile Training Institute or the Center for Trades and Competitiveness, inaugurated this year, which are macro-centers where many professional training courses can support any type of project in terms of human capital. Moroccan human capital is very young, prepared, Hispanophone, especially in northern Morocco, and capable of supporting any type of activity that Spanish companies wish to develop.
