In response to geopolitical and technological challenges of the 21st century, Morocco accelerates its march towards assumed technological sovereignty. The Ministry of Digital Transition and the Reform of the Administration has signed a strategic agreement with the ABA Technology group, thus marking the official launch of the national program “Innovation & technological sovereignty”. This program is fully part of the Digital Morocco 2030 strategy. It aims to make Morocco a key player in the global technological industry, by developing local skills, by attracting international talents and by creating an ecosystem favorable to innovation.
The program is available in seven priority axes, constituting a coherent base to build a competitive, inclusive and sovereign digital economy:
- Aba Ventures – The National Startups Pact: support the emergence of 50 startups, create local unicorns, support 35 entrepreneurs and investors.
- Aba Institute of Technology – Large -scale capacity: train 20,000 talents per year in key areas: AI, cybersecurity, IoT, hybrid cloud …
- Support for doctoral research: support for 100 Moroccan doctoral students to bring academic research closer to economic needs.
