On the sidelines of the Gitex Africa Morocco, Huawei brought together its partners at a strategic summit placed under the sign of responsible innovation and regional cooperation. The objective is to collectively imagine solutions to reconcile technology, inclusion and sustainability in a continent in full digital transformation.
Adou Xianjun, managing director of the Huawei business group Enterprise Group, recalled that the Chinese group has been solidly anchored in Morocco for more than twenty years. “Since 2002, we have invested massively in the country, with offices in Rabat and Casablanca, and close collaborations with telecom operators and public services,” he said. Huawei today claims a unique position as a global supplier in fields as strategic as data transmission, cloud, storage or artificial intelligence. Sectors in which the company claims to work hand in hand with health players, mines or even energy to support the digital transition of the kingdom.
True to its Pan -African strategy, Huawei also insists on the importance of training local talents and pooling resources in the region to better meet the needs of the market. Training centers are emerging, while new logistical approaches are being studied to strengthen connectivity with neighboring countries. One of the most promising projects mentioned concerns the development of automatic translators, in order to remove linguistic brakes and promote digital inclusion.
Carried by its vision of a digital Morocco and resilient by 2030, the company intends to remain a central player in this transformation, in particular by proposing robust solutions to cyber threats and targeting key sectors such as finance and health.
