The Prism program invites professionals and the curious of the creative and technological worlds to a day dedicated to the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the creative and cultural industries. The event will be held on May 13 at the Théâtre du Crochetan, in Monthey and will start at 8:30 am.
Conferences, demonstrations, testimonies and feedback will punctuate this day which will highlight the way in which AI transforms creation, production and dissemination in fields as varied as cinema, music, visual arts, heritage or digital design.
A rich and multidisciplinary programming
In the morning, participants will attend presentations on the potential of artificial intelligence in musical creation, with Matteo Sorci (Dell Technologies), and in cultural mediation, with Marta Dos Santos (Château de Chillon), which will return to the integration of a chatbot into the visit experience. The link between artificial intelligence and cinema will be approached by Sami Arpa, founder of Largo.ai, who will present the advantages and challenges in automated scripting, visual effects and actors.
Sylvain Calinon (Idiap), Antoine Widmer (HES-SO Valais-Wallis) and Tim Meylan (Edhea) will go on an overview of Valais academic skills in the field of artificial intelligence.
The afternoon will be devoted to the discovery of artistic projects integrating AI. Samy Abu El Ainin will present his work carried out for the 125th anniversary of the Nouvelliste, while Jonas Wyssen will present Looking the Ai In the Eye, a work questioning the most current subjects. The public will also discover how artificial intelligence modifies how video games can use AI to refine the development of games and better understand the expectations of the public, with Matthieu Saussaye. The public will also be able to immerse themselves in an increased creativity workshop led by Antoine Widmer.
A day to inspire, exchange and network
Thought as a space for reflection and meetings, this day will alternate inspiring interventions, informal discussions and technological experiments. A dinner buffet and a final aperitif will extend the exchanges.
