This drama had sparked a media storm in France, the accident revealing the dark side of this popular artist stuck in drug addiction.
The actor left Bordeaux-Gradignan prison (South West) in the morning by avoiding the main exit scrutinized by journalists.
Tuesday, the Bordeaux Court of Appeal validated the development, under an electronic bracelet, of its sentence of five years in prison, two of which were firm, pronounced in November.
Two exit schedules are scheduled in the evening for “care modules which are one of the bonds of the measure”, according to the public prosecutor’s office. The actor is followed medically for his addictions.
The judgment of the Court of Appeal also includes a ban on contact with the victims of the accident.
Pierre Palmade was found guilty of involuntary injuries after the violent collision he caused in February 2023 on a Parisian region by driving under the influence of narcotics, after three days consuming drugs without sleeping.
The accident made three seriously injured: a 38-year-old man, his six-year-old son and his 27-year-old sister-in-law who lost the baby after the shock.
Pierre Palmade did not appeal the judgment, making him final.
This resounding file had led to a cascade of revelations in the press on the addictions of the humorist: alcohol, narcotics and “chemsex” (consumption of psychotropic products to intensify and prolong sex).
Appearing very marked at his trial in November, a livid face, Pierre Palmade had asked for forgiveness from the victims at the helm.
