Created in 2005, the beach at the writers celebrates its almost 20 years (it was canceled due to Covid twice) this Saturday May 3 and Sunday 4 May in Arcachon, on the seafront, on the left of the Thiers pier. 34 authors participate, including: Arnaud Cathrine, David Foenkinos, Michel Denisot, Nathalie Saint-Cricq, Irène Frain, Anny Duperey but also Estelle Lefébure, Élisabeth Borne or Maïtena Biraben. The Grand Prix of the City of Arcachon and the Lycée literary prize will both be awarded to Pascale Tournier for “a double fault”. Like every year, the event has a free giant buffet of 17,000 oysters on Saturday noon. In addition to meetings and dedications, readings on the sand will take place on Saturday at 3 p.m. (by Pascale Tournier) and Sunday at 4 p.m. (by Irène Frain, guest of honor).
