The work of Chef Louis Linster was rewarded on Monday by the granting of a second star for the Léa Linster restaurant to the “Michelin guide”. “It was our goal, we had been working there for two, three years,” says the young chief 34.
What could make the difference with inspectors? “So much,” he says. Already, greater maturity in cooking because all that comes with experience. There is also the comfort of the customer, we redid the restaurant so that there is a better atmosphere and lots of small details ”.
The name Linster was already known in gastronomy thanks to her mother, Léa, who obtained the first star of the restaurant and is the only woman to have had a golden bocuse. Over time and through his work, Louis made a name for himself. “What is funny is that before the 2e Star, we had already planned to change the name of the restaurant by calling it Louis Linster. I did not know it, but before my mother took over the restaurant, his name was Émile Linster, named after my grandfather. ”
This star “shows that we are on the right path, that all these efforts are not in vain,” he adds. And now on the way to the third star? “We have not yet done service with two stars so we will talk about it later. It is still difficult to achieve. We are still in a state of joy and celebration ”. This distinction, the chief celebrated him with his team on Tuesday afternoon. “I am the captain, but without the team it does not work. I am very happy for them. They see that hours of work and discussion on what you can improve pay. ”
