As part of the National Week of Cardiometabolical Diseases, the University Institute for Innovation in Cardiometabolism and Nutrition (IHU ICAN) is organizing this , April 18, a videoconferencing from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with Jean François Thébaut, vice-president of the federation. The event will be devoted to type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular complications.

Type 2 diabetes: cardiometabolic

On April 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Ihu Ican, located at the Pitié – Salpêtrière hospital in Paris, organized a morning of videoconferences led by experts on cardiometabolic diseases.
From 11:30 a.m., you can find Jean-François Thébaut, cardiologist and vice-president of the Federation, for an intervention on Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular complications. Professor Olivier Bourron, diabetologist at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, will also intervene.
Type 2 diabetes is one of cardiometabolic diseases, in the same way as obesity, certain liver diseases, such as hepatic steatosis associated with metabolic dysfunction (Mash) as well as the pathologies of the heart and vessels.
