First major event organized for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the AA Saint Omer Golf Club, the 11th edition of the “Pas-de-Calais Paragolf Open” is scheduled from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 April 2025.
This event registered in the world ranking and the EDGA (Paragolf European Circuit) calendar marks the club’s sustainable commitment to Paragolf. He especially invites you to meet exceptional sportsmen. They will be 70 players, from 12 countries to compete in different categories depending on their handicap. With the key to the winner, the opportunity to rub shoulders with the best professional players, on the occasion of the Mixed Alps Tour and Letas Open organized by the club in September, like Manuel de Los Santos in 2023 and Issa Nlareb in 2024. The latter even became an independent teacher at AA Saint-Omer Golf Club with Click & Golf Academy.
Two highlights to open the tournament
In partnership with the Pas-de-Calais department, the “Pas-de-Calais Paragolf Open” invites 50 children from a local college to be initiated into golf course by paragolf players on April 25. A real lesson in life to educate young people about golf practice and disability.
-A Handi VIP AM is also organized at the opening of the tournament with the partners, paragolfeurs and VIPs who support this beautiful cause, including former high -level sportsmen, including: Sebastien Bosquet (Handball), Stevens Barclais (Taekwondo), Franck Queudrue (Football), Daniel Moreira (Football) and Arthur Gommes (Rugby).
Golf: a sport for all at AA Saint Omer Golf Club
AA Saint-Omer Golf Club is mobilizing for a long time to make golf accessible to people with disabilities. As early as 2010, he invested in suitable equipment, before opening a paragolf school in 2011 hosted by graduate golf teachers.
In 2014, the Golf organized its 1st Open from France Paragolf which in 2017 became the Pas-de-Calais Open Paragolf, an event labeled Edga. Today, the tournament and its partners make it possible to operate the paragolf school throughout the year, which welcomes specialized structures for people with disabilities every Tuesday.
