An investigation opened by the prosecution

An investigation was opened for heads of “voluntary violence with a temporary total incapacity of the victim (ITT) less than or equal to eight days and for theft, ”the Versailles prosecutor’s office told Parisien on Wednesday. What does the complaint say?

At this stage, investigations are based on the complainant’s statements. At the police station, the victim said that she was returning with her 1 year old child, around 4.30 p.m., from the Franprix from the La Bruyère district when she was taken to task. The aggression would have taken place a few meters from the supermarket, not far from the railway bridge which spans the avenue de Versailles. “A person arrived behind me quickly and snatched my religious veil to me, while shouting on me,” she describes in his complaint. I didn’t understand what she said. And she watered me, my baby and I, with a liquid. A liquid without smell or color, the victim of which supposes “that it is water”.

No suspect at this stage

With the police, the victim delivered a partial description of his attacker, a man wearing a dark jacket, whom she saw from the back. “I did not have time to identify it properly,” she explains in her complaint. Investigators are based on certain special signs to try to find the individual. As of Tuesday evening, the Yvelines prefecture assured that “the police were fully mobilized to find the author of the facts”. But for the time being, no suspect has been identified. According to our information, the cameras in the neighborhood were unable to provide images of the assault.

Reinforced security near places of worship

Tuesday evening, during a meeting with the prefect, the representatives of the Council of Muslim Institutions of the Yvelines (CIMY) were able to share their concerns. They had an attentive ear.
