Leonardo Fornaroli arrives on this third meeting while being at the top of the pilot ranking. He is ahead of a single point Alex Dunne.
Back to the previous edition
During the 2024 weekend, Ollie Bearman carried out pole position during the Friday qualifying session. The prema pilot did not start the two races of the meeting. He replaced Carlos Sainz at the raised, suffering. During the Sprint race, Paul Aron starts from the first position and only lost this position in the 8th round against Richard Verschoor. Dennis Hauger goes up the peloton and takes 2nd place. Richard Verschoor passes the finish line at the top but is disqualified due to a technical irregularity. Dennis Hauger therefore wins this sprint race. It is finally Kush Maini who inherits the pole position of the main race. He maintains his advantage until he stops at the stands. Enzo Fittipaldi, who is just behind the Poleman, takes control and wins this main race.
The Corniche circuit of Djeddah
With a length of 6 km 175, it is made up of 27 turns. Felipe Drugovich holds the circuit record made in 2022. The Sprint race will include 20 laps, a total of 123.48 km. The main race will be 172,872 km or 28 laps to perform for the pilots.
The pilots will be able to use the DRS three times, on the straight line departure/arrival, between turns 20 and 22 and between turns 24 and 27.
The point on the classification
On the team side, Hitech takes control after the Bahrain meeting, with 6 points better than Campos and 7 better than Invicta. MP Motorsport, who arrived in Bahrein at the top of the ranking, is now 4th in the ranking.
As with the teams, the new leader of the pilots makes a good 3 places in the ranking. Leonardo Fornaroli leads one small point ahead of Alex Dunne and Luke Browning. Richard Verschoor is now 5th in the ranking. Victor Martins is struggling on this start of the season and ranks 7th place with 12 points, 14 less than the leader. The struggle for the head of the ranking is obviously intense after only 2 meetings. Favorites like Gabriele Mini and Victor Martins seem to be far for the moment but each meeting can change the situation and there is no doubt that their experience and their talent should make them climb in the ranking quickly.
