Where to look at the Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia?
The channels of the Canal+ group are the official diffuser of Formula 1 in France. As in recent seasons, they will broadcast the entire weekend for all the Grand Prix of the season.
For the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the three free test sessions as well as the qualifications will be broadcast on Canal+ Sport. It will be necessary to switch to Canal+ the race on Sunday.
The Djeddah circuit
Djeddah’s layout is urban because wearing on the cornice of the city of Djeddah, located on the edges of the Red Sea. In fact, the track is very atypical for a circuit “in town” since it is ultra -fast despite its many turns.
After the observation of a certain dangerousness of a few portions in 2021, slight modifications were undertaken by the organizers in 2022 in the short time available between the two editions, with in particular the objective of improving visibility in the ultra -rapid sections. What remained to be done was achieved in 2023. Likewise, the DRS detection point of the last zone was moved outside the braking area to avoid the play of excessive slowdowns seen during the first two GPs, and which had given rise to one of the famous episodes of the healing first edition.
With a racing departure at 8 p.m. local time, this is a night event, like all the other great prices of the Arabian peninsula, even if the race of Abu Dhabi is in fact between dog and wolf. 6.174 km long and made up of 27 turns, the Djeddah circuit will be traveled 50 times during the race for a total distance of 308.7 kilometers.
