Pierre Gasly reiterated his amazing claims that he could become Champion” At Alpine F1 next season, with the into force of the regulation on motorcycle groups.

The Frenchman previously revealed that he thought that the new regulations would offer enormous opportunities for himself and for the team, which will become a client of Mercedes.

The former F1 Ralf Schumacher driver also expects a lot of Alpine and cited Enstone’s team as a potential option for Max Verstappen.

Schumacher recognized the impressive performances of Gasly, the team’s future prospects, but also the impact and presence of Flavio Briatore, which leads him to believe that she could recruit the reigning world champion.

Gasly was questioned today in Djeddah about these and did not doubt the chances of Alpine in 2026 and remains confident as to her ability to win the title of the pilots.

“I said that I could be world champion next year. So yes, I believe that Alpine has the assets to fight at the top of the grid. From there, you draw the you want!”

The pilot approaches the Arabian Grand Prix this weekend after an impressive performance in Bahrain, where he qualified in position, went to fourth position and finished seventh.

It was his top 10 of the season, even if he fears that the Corniche circuit of Djeddah was an obstacle for Alpine, due to the less powerful Renault engine.

“We know it is a circuit where things could be a little more trashy and difficult for us, but at the same time, we know with which we are fighting.”

“We have what we have, and we have to fight with what we have. On paper, we know that this circuit is quite to energy management, but now, it is up to us to be as competitive as possible and, hope it, to draw our pin on the game this weekend.”

Gasly refused to criticize the Renault engine more when asked what deficit he generated.

“You know that I cannot answer this question.”
