Three students from the Toulouse Conservatory will play the Montreal collegiate church on May 11.
On Sunday, May 11, throughout France, 1,000 young organists will give a concert in 100 cities, for the day of the organ, a national event organized by the association Orgue in France in partnership with local associations and music conservatories. In 2025, Organ in France set up the young organists, witnesses to the vitality of an instrument taught in nearly 200 organ classes, in cities of all sizes, which form thousands of passionate amateurs each year and future professionals.
Works of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries
The Association of Friends of the Organ and the Montreal collegiate church will welcome three young students from the Toulouse Conservatory who are intended for the organist profession. The Frenchman Eliott Bembekoff, from Saint-Étienne, has been studying the organ for three years at the Toulouse Conservatory, as well as chamber music and writing. Slovak Linda Vannayová, born in 2001, started music at five years old in Bratislava. From an early age, she distinguished herself in several international competitions. She is currently continuing her studies as part of the CPES program at the Toulouse Conservatory. The Japanese Masaki Shiozawa, born in 2002 in Kanagawa, began his musical training with the piano from the age of four before discovering his passion for the organ at nine. He then joined the University of Tokyo Arts. Currently, Masaki continues his studies at the Toulouse Conservatory. He has just been admitted to the National Conservatory of Music in Paris.
These young artists will perform works by the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries: Bach, César Franck, Charles Tournemire, Jehan Alain, Marcel Dupré, Louis Vierne. Particularly diverse music adapted to the organ of the Montreal collegiate church. An unmissable event to encourage young talents! Concert organized by the Association of Friends of the Organ and the Collegiate Church of Montreal. Free entry, participation in costs.
