The head coach of ’s national U20 team, Mohamed Ouahbi, expressed confidence on Saturday in Cairo that the injuries to players Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal and Mohamed Yassir Zabiri can be compensated for, stating that he trusts all the members of his squad.

Speaking to the press on the eve of the team’s second in the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Ouahbi confirmed that all players are fully prepared for the encounter against Nigeria. He explained that Aït Boudlal and Zabiri, who were injured during the opening Group B match against Kenya (a 3–2 win), will be rested for the remainder of the .

«We won’t have any trouble finding replacements for the injured players. I’m confident in that regard because we have strong options capable of performing at every stage of this AFCON», Ouahbi said, adding that such situations are to be expected. The coach emphasized that the team is full of confidence and is preparing under optimal conditions.

Commenting on their next opponent, Ouahbi said Nigeria’s playing style has been closely analyzed. «We know they’re a tough, well-organized, and fast team, but we’re focusing on our own game», he noted, stressing the need for high levels of focus and discipline.

Meanwhile, national team Houssam Essadak said the squad is fully ready and in good spirits following the , adding that the goal is to secure early qualification for the quarter-finals.

His teammate Ayman Erguigue echoed the sentiment, acknowledging that Nigeria is a very competitive side but affirming the team’s determination to represent Morocco with pride and go far in the tournament.

Morocco will face Nigeria in their second group-stage match this at 7:00 PM at Cairo Stadium.
