This Friday, May 9, the native of Épinal Aubin Sparfel created the surprise by winning the victory on the 39th edition of the Tour du Finistère. Well placed and attentive in the final, the young runner of the Decathlon team AG2R La Mondiale read perfectly the race: in the last hectometers, he took the wheel of Lewis Askey (Groupama-FDJ), winner the day before the alder loops before triggering a sharp sprint to win with authority. The French training signs a magnificent double, since Bastien Tronchon finishes second. Émilien Jeannière (Totalenergies) completes a 100 % tricolor podium.
The performance of Aubin Sparfel confirms the rise of the new generation of French cycling. Still little known to the general public, the 21 -year -old runner makes a shattering entry into the national landscape. His victory over a race as demanding as the Tour du Finistère could well be a turning point in his season.
