Ufolep cycling club (French Union of Laïques d’Éducation d’Hécéilles) affiliated with the FFC (French Cycling Federation), the Gourdan-Polignan Comminges Cyclisme (GPCC) travels to Barbazan where he is organizing a night race this evening, Wednesday, May 7. The race will go through the avenue de la Tuilerie, the Luscan route, the avenue des Thermes and La Place de la Poste. Rendez-vous place: the casino car park which joins the organizers as well as the municipality delighted to host the event. According to the estimates of President Dorian Sevin, they should be around 80 participants to come to do battle in this race, the second edition to take place at nightfall for the GPCC which had distinguished itself last year in Gourdan-Polignan during an encouraging experience. On the program for this race, kick off the first departure at 6 p.m. for the 3rd and 4th categories and the women, or about 1 h 10 of racing, plus 5 laps. In a second step, at 8 pm, the 1st and 2nd categories will start for about 1 hour 20 minutes with more, also, also 5 laps to finish. “It is almost 45 km for the first race, and 55 km for the second, on a demanding route with the climb to the casino each time,” explains Dorian who hopes a mild weather. “Everyone is expected from 5 p.m. at the casino, and there are of course the public to come and encourage runners on this test”.
