essential
The Condomoise cycling union took up the challenge of organizing the event of the Cross-Country Ufolep departmental championship. And won 4 champions from the Gers champions.
Organizing a championship is a challenge. And, even before the day “D” (last Sunday) of the event of the Departmental Championship Ufolep de Cross-Country (XC), the Condomoise cycling union (UCC) has had obstacles to overcome the previous weeks. We think of the circuit markup, the coordination of volunteers to supervise the races, the mobilization of sponsors and partners (1), with official procedures with private and public interlocutors, etc.
So, in the aftermath of this rally of mountain bikers organized in Graziac, it is clear that the UCC once again succeeded in its event which gathered 100 participants, in a good atmosphere with special mention to the grills of the cook of the day.
After the morning races reserved for young people and those of the afternoon exclusively intended for adults, the smiles barred all the faces, including those marked by the effort.
“Encouraging records”
“We can say congratulations to all our licensees for their investment, whether on the bicycle or as managers throughout the day”, savor Sylvain Tarroux, president of the UCC, winner of the title in category 40-49 years. An elected representative all the more happy as 3 others of his licensees are, like him, Champions du Gers: Loric Vambeke (in the 9-10 year old category), Alexandrine Tarroux (in category 11-12 years) and Louis Nardi (in category 15-16 years; his cousin Achille is 2nd).
“This is an encouraging list for the regional championship scheduled for Sunday 27 [avril] in Saint-Projet. I also want to congratulate beginners who made some their first races on this selective route for some. A big thank you also to the mountain bikers of the Gers, Pyrenean and Lot-et-Garonne clubs who came to run, “concludes Sylvain Tarroux.
This event also highlighted the mountain biking potential of Ténarèze in the heart of a network of marked circuits from Condom via Beaucaire and Valence-sur-Baïse.
