On June 27, 2010, Axel Alleru, a professional motorcycle pilot, dislocated the spine during a competition.
He is 20 years old. A few days later, medicine confirms the terrible diagnosis to him: he will never be able to walk, even less ride his motorcycle. After years of rehabilitation and a magnificent Handisport swimming record as well as a coronation on the Dakar, Axel Allertru, 34, appeared on Sunday February 4, 2024 on the starting line of the Enduropale du Touquet, one of the most famous and demanding competitions in motocross.
Its objective is not to do the entire race, far too long given its state of health, but to obtain the “Holeshot”, that is to say to lead the turn which marks the end of the first straight line. At the end, a victory on itself, on disability and on fatality. Before embarking on this famous competition, Axel and his relatives come back with sincerity and emotion on the young man.
This documentary tells the story of a fight, that of a young man who braved the impossible to create a destiny. A trajectory as upsetting as it is impressive.
