From Aomar Ait Khedache, we remember the heady rattling of his cane, the silence of the Assize Court when he slowly writes his answers on his school notebook, and his sons. Deaf, almost silent, suffering from a thousand ills, the alleged brain of Kim Kardashian’s violent flight is the most grandpa of his robbers.
“I have a hard time communicating with him,” confesses his lawyer Frank Berton. “Me too”, blows the youngest son of Aomar Ait Khedache, who came to testify at the helm.
Already convicted several times for similar facts, “Omar the Old”, as it is nicknamed, faces perpetuity for the robbery and sequestration of the star of influencers.
“Today he lives where, how and with whom?” Asks his advice.
“He lives alone with his dog in his apartment. We do work to adapt it because his health is deteriorating day by day. In the toilet, the bathroom. We widen access to the case where he would need an armchair. We see him more and more back on himself.”
The words of his son, Aomar Ait Khedache sees them appear in large white characters on the large black screen placed in front of him. Impossible to know what he thinks or if he reads everything.
At almost 69 years old – he made ten more with his vaulted silhouette and his passing glasses – he almost hears nothing anymore despite the imposing hearing implant fixed at his dismissed skull and can no longer speak: he writes his answers by hand, under a background.
The said personality interrogation, which the ten accused lend themselves these days, is technically less perilous than expected because the accused had summed up his life in a long letter to his judge, in 2017, from his prison.

“Influence”, “entourage”, writes on his sheet with small tiles the accused, seeming to make fun that the president finds his answer “a little easy”.
– “Can we say that you had a taste for adrenaline?
– I don’t like the risk, I’m not a player. ”
The president tries something else. It was in this same courtroom that he had been sentenced in 1985, already for robbery, he reminds him.
“And then,” writes the accused, laconic.
No more luck on the general lawyer side, who tries to make him detail his last conviction, in 2017: a “sausage”, a year before the robbery of Kim Kardashian, of a 90-year-old lady, followed in her mansion in Neuilly (Hauts-de-Seine).
“Yes,” writes the sixties.
The 37 -year -old, suspected, has been suspected of being the “driver” on the steady on the evening of the robbery.
The president reads him what his father had told the judges during the investigation: “Will my son learn that I am not his biological father?”.
The accused is in tears. “He doesn’t know that I have known it since the age of six,” he articulates. “I am entirely devoted to my father, it is my way of showing that I love him”.
His father looks up with his wave, agitated, moved. He looks at his son.
“Your father abused this love?” Asks the president.
When “he asks me for something, I see him as time spent with him,” he sobbed. “That’s why sometimes I can do things without thinking.”
