They can be called “sixth avenue”. The real estate agencies of the Stéphane Plaza network, named after the host recently sentenced for domestic violence, will be able to change their name if they wish, announces the group’s boss in Le Figaro this Thursday.
“This new brand, which will bear the name of sixth avenue, will be launched in early May,” explains Gilles Charron, president of Stéphane Plaza France, the parent company of the network. “Stéphane Plaza Immobilier remains and sixth avenue is independent and independently installed while being complementary. The network will therefore now be composed of these two brands, “he adds, adding that the name” sixth avenue “is a nod to the M6 channel, which holds a good part of the shares of the real estate network.
Clearly, the franchisees of the network wish to keep the name “Stéphane Plaza” will be free to do so, depending on their market and their customers. “It is even quite possible that a franchisee which has several agencies can exploit the two brands in different agencies,” adds Gilles Charron.
“M6 will support the two brands”
As for the real estate specialist host, “he remains exclusively involved in Stéphane Plaza Immobilier”, explains the president of the network. “M6 will support the two brands, which will be autonomous with different offers and communications,” explains Gilles Charron.
Last February, Stéphane Plaza, a star real estate agent of M6, was found guilty of usual violence on spouse for the facts concerning Amandine, his ex-partner. He was sentenced to 12 months suspended prison sentence but said he wanted to appeal this judgment.
