“For Canada, let’s be very clear, there is no political reality behind that, unless a military invasion,” said Guillaume Lavoie, associated member with the Raoul-Dandurand chair.
Asked on LCN waves on Sunday, Lavoie explains that a possibility envisaged by the Trump administration could be to buy Canada. However, the expert recalls that the country is not for sale. And even in a hypothetical scenario where it would be, it is impossible to estimate the price of a territory whose area is the second largest in the world.
But that’s not all: Canadians should also vote in favor of an American law aimed at integrating their territory into the United States Constitution.
