Parks Canada says he had euthanized a polar bear after a skier was attacked in the Auyuittuq National Park, in Nunavut.

According to Parks Canada, the skier was attacked near Pangnirtung, Nunavut, Thursday, April 24 in the morning.
The skier’s health was assessed at the Pangnirtung center. He has not been kept for other tests or care

Also according to Parks Canada, four visitors helped the skier go to an emergency shelter and contacted Parks Canada. The park staff arrived at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, then evacuated the group into snowmobile.
