Two drivers were arrested by Beauce-Sartigan police officers for circulating at 100km/h in areas of 50 km/h, last week.
First, on April 11, around 5 p.m., a Sûreté du Québec patroller intercepted a vehicle on Route 269 in Saint-Martin because of a great speed. The young driver from St-Hilaire-de-Dorset was circulating at 100 km/h in an area of 50 km/h. The total fine is $ 868 and 10 incapacity points. His driving license was administratively suspended for seven days.
Then, on the morning of April 13 at 8 a.m., on Route 108 in the municipality of Courcelles-St-Evariste, a patroller from the MRC Beauce-Sartigan intercepted another vehicle which committed a great speed. The 32-year-old driver, from Saint-Georges, was circulating at 100 km/h in an area of 50 km/h. The total fine is $ 868 and 10 incapacity points. The driver’s driver’s license was administratively suspended for seven days.
Driving with weakened capacities
On April 4, a 55-year-old man was arrested by the police officers of the MRC in New Beauce on the avenue de la Sablière, in Sainte-Marie. The man in the region, who tried to save himself, was quickly caught up in the police. He was arrested for driving with the capacities weakened by alcohol, to obstruct the work of the police and a stabbing weapon was also seized. The file will be subject to the DPCP, awaiting procedures.
On the night of Saturday, April 12 to Sunday, April 13, around 1:30 a.m., the MRC de Beauce-Center police officers made the interception of an 18-year-old driver, from Saint-Georges, for excessive speed on Route 276, in Saint-Joseph des Érables. The lady was then arrested for driving with the capacities weakened by drugs. Following the examination of the evaluator agent in drug recognition, her driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days. It will appear on a later date at the courthouse in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce.

The patrollers of the MRC Beauce-Sartigan responded to two complaints concerning fraud, in Saint-Georges, on Monday, April 7.
Like Modus Operandi, fraudsters falsely identify with complainants as police officers or equifax representatives by claiming to investigate fraudulent operations in one of their bank accounts. The fraudsters invited the complainants to give them their bank card with the personal identification number (NIP), in order to regularize their situation.
The fraudsters were able to recover the bank cards from the complainants and made withdrawals or purchases. The investigation continues.
Long leave – Easter
During the long Easter leave, from April 18 to 21, the police of the Sûreté du Québec will be present and will make users of the road network to the importance of adopting security road behavior and to be cautious to reduce the risks of being involved in a collision.
