Two tourists died
A Belgian tourist and his son, who disappeared for several hours, perished in floods in the south of the country, the authorities announced on Monday.
The rescue teams found “the bodies of a woman and her son, both of Belgian nationality, who had disappeared after floods in the Choubak region, about 200 km south of Amman”, according to a statement from the General Security Directorate. “The bodies found after several hours of research in difficult weather conditions have been evacuated,” he added without further details.

According to statements by the governor of Maan, Hassan Al-Jabour, reported by the official television channel Al-Mamlaka, the Belgian and her three children were part of a group of tourists also including 14 Czechs in “adventure trip” on Sunday, without a guide.
