Everyone noticed Conor Benn, even the fighters of other weight categories.
Overall, it is difficult for someone whose father is Nigel Benn to go unnoticed. But before there are two weekends, the 28-year-old led a popular but normal pugilistic life.
In a rivalry match born from the relationship between their fathers, Benn and Chris Eubank Jr. clashed. All boxes have been checked.
Delirious supporters? Yes.
A crowded arena? Yes.
An intense and tight fight that could have turned in one direction or the other? Yes.
Among the countless looks on them, Richardson Hitchins looked closely. With each round that passed, the current champion of the 140 pounds approached more and more of his television. When the final bell rang, it was captivated.
-Things did not go exactly as Benn wanted, but even in defeat, Hitchins was impressed. So much so that he is not only ready to fight against him, but that he wishes.
“Make this happen,” Hitchins told a group of journalists when he was asked if a fight against Benn interested him. “I am ready to go to the United Kingdom.”
Although Ambitieux, Hitchins (19-0, 7 KB) could rush. He is expected to return to the ring on June 14 against George Kambosos in his hometown of New York.
Throughout the promotion, Hitchins has shown little or no respect for the former unified champion. He expects to be a boxing in a circle around his opponent, or find a way to stop the fight. If this is the case, the 27 -year -old young man thinks he will have the right to do what he wants.
Benn (23-1, 14 KB) does not appear exactly at the top of his list, but there remains a high priority. Regarding the difference in weight, Hitchins is not worried.
“I’m ready to go up to 147,” he said.
