Two people, including an Iranian government official, were arrested after an explosion that killed dozens on April 26 in the largest commercial port in Iran, national television announced on Sunday.
The deflagration, heard tens of kilometers around, occurred on a quay in the port of Shahid Rajaï, in southern Iran, where a fifth of world oil production and 85% of goods in Iran pass.
“A government manager and another in the private sector have been arrested” on the orders of justice, said television, citing a report by the government’s investigation committee.
