The author of the murder of the young Omar, killed on April 30, 2025 in Akouda, was arrested in Tunis after a large coordination operation between the Sousse security units, the Directorate of Public Prosecutions and the investigating judge in charge of the case, announced the spokesperson for the trial court of Sousse 2, Hajer Aïch.
The suspect, who had taken refuge in Tunis after the crime, was arrested at the same time as four other people suspected of having participated in the assault. According to the first elements of the investigation, the murder was committed to the stabbing by two individuals in the locality of Kammoun, in the governorate of Sousse.
The 24 -year -old victim died following the serious injuries he suffered. The incident took place last Saturday, in a district known as “Kammoun”, precisely in the commune of Akouda.
The authorities are continuing the investigations to clarify the exact circumstances of the crime and determine any additional complicities.
