
SNCF travelers’ president and chief executive officer promises a week as normal as possible “for travelers despite the social movement that begins on the network on Monday.
SNCF drivers and controllers began their social movement This Monday, May 5. In Île-de-France, forecasts on the Transilien and RER lines show disturbed traffic.
On lines n, u and v, Only one in two train is expected to circulate this Monday, May 5. On the RER side, traffic will also be reduced by half, as is the RER C. On the other hand, the RER E should circulate normally with four trains out of five operational staff this start of the week.
Towards a “dark week” in transport?
These disturbances on rail networks follow the call of the CGT which requires an increase in the remuneration of workers in the sector, considering being “injured” in the distribution of the value produced by the employees SNCF. The movement will be joined Tuesday, 6 and Wednesday, May 7 by the Sud Rail union which requires mobilization of maintenance agents and drivers. The controllers, on the other hand, will go on strike from May 9 to 11.
