Dyears a press release from his political bureau, relayed by Alyaoum24the training points to an increasingly alarming situation for the working class, faced with general precariousness, the surge in the prices of basic necessities, the insecurity of employment and the closure of production units.
The FGD calls for an urgent revaluation of wages, in line with inflation, as well as improving essential public services. It fully supports the social demands brought by unions and popular mobilizations, while denouncing the government’s inaction in the face of its previous commitments, in particular those relating to the increase in wages, social protection and the application of sectoral agreements.
The press release also warns against a series of reforms deemed regressive, such as the bill on the right to strike or the revision of the Code of Criminal Procedure. For the FGD, these initiatives are part of a logic of decline in social and union rights.
Finally, the Federation deplores the intensification of the repression of social movements. It denounces the arbitrary arrests, the convictions which it deems severe, and a security management of protests, in particular those of the Rif, Jerada, Figuig, or even victims of the earthquake of Al Haouz, which demand above all fundamental rights such as employment, health, education and dignified housing.
