A cyber attack targeted the site of the Moroccan ministry for economic inclusion, small business, employment and skills, especially the National Social Security Fund (CNSS). The CNSS file of strategic and known entities, but also the list of Moroccan employees have been unveiled on a Telegram channel. In a press release, a group of Algerian hackers called “Jabaroot” claimed the computer hacking of the Ministry of Employment and announced that it had access to confidential data concerning around 2 million people and 500,000 companies that leaked on Telegram.

Computer hackers is “a response to Moroccan harassment of the official pages of Algerian social networks”, explained the group, referring to the blocking of the account of the Algerian news agency (APS) on the X platform. Algerian hackers have also published a map of North Africa including the amputated Morocco map of its Sahara.
The replica of Moroccan hackers was not long in coming. Phantom Atlas, the Moroccan hackers group, has launched attacks on several Algerian government sites. “In less than 24 hours, we managed to hack the internal systems of the general mutual insurance company and telecommunications (MGPTT), extracting more than 13 GB of confidential data. Among these are personal data and highly sensitive strategic documents, ”said this group on Telegram.
