It was good Friday evening, in the garden of the park’s residence, for the inauguration of the eleventh book box in the town. The inhabitants came in number to attend this inauguration, in the presence of the mayor, Véronique Dubettier-Grenier, and several members of the municipal council.
Since the end of 2018, the city has set up a device to accompany the Carquefoliens wishing to set up a book box in their neighborhood. There is a criterion to take into account and respect: the project must be shared with the inhabitants of the neighborhood, in order to create a link and facilitate exchanges between them. For this eleventh box, the initial request was made by Marie-Cécile Rigaux, which resides in the Park’s residence district.
The city responded favorably to the request and acquires a new book box, at a cost of around € 1,000 including tax. “I put books in other boxes. Having one here is very good, we were applicants ”, says Brigitte Paty.
