A small part of the parking lot of the Garage Feu Vert de Mont-de-Marsan was invested by several stalls provided with books on Sunday, May 4. Installed here for a vagaries organized by the city district councils. These books of books and CDs made by individuals take place every first Sunday of the month, from 9 to 12 noon, until October, in the various districts of Mont-de-Marsan.
On the spot, the sun is the happiness of the few sellers present that day, who came with important collections of books. Philippe Levieux thus offers, at a price of a few euros, around fifty pounds and DVDs. “I have been selling my books for several years. Right next to it, Leslie Mesplié spread a hundred pounds on her table. Works for children, novels, thrillers: there is something for almost all tastes. “These are books that my daughter read when she was younger and others recovered from me or from family members,” she explains. This resident of Saint-Pierre-du-Mont plans to participate in “as much as possible” of these vie-bibliothèques this year. The morning is rather calm according to her. She sold seven pounds to 2 euros each and a DVD.
Cheaper than bookstore
Sophie Boulery, president of one of the five neighborhood councils, is one of the workers’ ankles of this event. “We have been organizing the voids for over ten years,” she explains. The family stops on the stall of Matous Landes, an animal protection association that resells books to treat and feed cats. This morning, they collected around 40 euros. “It’s a great initiative,” explains Sandrine Marbec, treasurer of the association.

The next video bibs will take place on Sunday 1is June in Saint-Médard, Sunday July 6 in the parking lot of the Lycée Charles-Despiau, Sunday September 7 on the Place de la Mairie and Sunday October 5 in the parking lot of the Us Express in Saint-Jean in August.
